Philosophy

 

Crossroads Early Learning Center’s philosophy is to establish well-grounded children with high spiritual and intellectual growth. We teach a formal curriculum with a foundation in  Christian principles however, families of all faiths are welcome.

About Our Program

Crossroads Early Learning Center is here to serve you and your whole family.  We offer Infant & toddler care, Preschool, Kindergarten, & Elementary before & after school programs. We service Carol, Sheldon Lake, Sheldon ECA, Garrett, & Summerwood Elementary Schools.  We are committed to making your child’s stay with us an excellent experience. We pride ourselves in offering a safe environment for children to learn and grow emotionally, intellectually and spiritually. Our formal curriculum offers children a fun and challenging learning environment. At Crossroads, we value raising up the next generation for Jesus Christ. We are passionate about fostering a love for learning that will last a lifetime.  Our strongest desire is that your children know they are loved by their teachers and a God who is “merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.” Psalms 86:15

Mrs. Melissa Allard our Director, has a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from The University of Houston with Texas certification in early childhood through sixth grade education. For the last 20 years she has worked in early childhood teaching and directing preschool programs. Her husband Michael is the Executive Pastor here at Crossroads Fellowship. She has five children who currently attend our Learning Center and shares a personal interest in the success of the school.

Our curriculum is comprised of monthly thematic units as well as Frog Street Press curriculum. Frog Street Press is a visual curriculum that uses music to teach phonics, mathematics, colors, and shapes. We are highly focused on phonics, writing, and character development. Each classroom teacher also follows the schools thematic unit for art and other fun learning activities.

While we do not require families to adhere to particular arrival or departure times, we recommend that you take advantage of our schedule so that your child receives the best possible education. We are open from 6am to 6pm Monday through Friday. Our general preschool schedule is from 8am to 4pm

We also provide breakfast, lunch and snacks. Our Center follows USDA guidelines for Childhood nutrition.

Crossroads Early Learning Center is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. All funds generated from the center are invested back into the school and the ministry of Crossroads Fellowship Church
